Kacie + Jonathan | Proposal

Jonathan texted me about a week ago asking me for some cool proposal spots in Memphis. I immediately texted him back with “I need deets.”
You see, Andrew and I have known Jonathan for a few years through Street Reach Memphis, and for years Andrew and I have always thought Jonathan needed to date this certain girl. In my mind I had agreed to give him ideas if and only these proposal plans were for her. Thank goodness he answered with Kacie’s name in that text! ;)

 

Memphis was where Kacie and Jonathan met and have served with Brinkley Heights Ministries and Street Reach for several years alongside other wonderful staff and volunteers. Their love and passion for the city of Memphis and the children and families of the Binghampton area overflows and is evident by their commitment to serve. Jonathan chose to propose at the Beale Street Landing, a place where he and Kacie had visited before. Kacie’s co-workers made her think they were all going to dinner downtown, only to make a detour and drop Kacie off in a park where two signs led her to a staircase where Jonathan was waiting for her. They walked over to Beale Street Landing where Jonathan popped the question and then Andrew and I surprised her.

 

Kacie and Jonathan, words really cannot express how truly excited we are for you two! We can’t wait to see how the rest of your story unfolds!

    I have known Jonathan and his family for many years—in fact I was an Intern Teacher in his Second Grade Class at Alcoa Elementary.

    What a lovely couple. And WOW—I never knew how beautiful Memphis was. Your photographs are breathtaking.
